Abstract Ovaj rad temelji se na akcijskom istraživanju djece starijih mješovitih skupina u dječjem vrtiću „Žuto pače“ u Zadru. U istraživanju je sudjelovalo 28 djece, 16 djevojčica i 12 dječaka, a projekt „Svijet životinja“ se odvijao u pedagoškoj godini 2018./2019., od ožujka do lipnja 2019. godine. Cilj istraživanja bio je ispitati dječji doživljaj Prirodoslovnog muzeja, usvajanje osnovnih prirodoslovnih pojmova i aktivnosti kako bi potakli razvijanje početne prirodoslovne pismenosti. Aktivnosti su se trebale provesti unutar Prirodoslovnog odjela Narodnog muzej Zadar, ali je Odjel zatvoren pa nije bilo moguće provesti nijednu radionicu ili izložbu. Djeca su posjetila izložbu Prirodoslovnog odjela u Kneževoj palači „Tajne muzejskih čuvaonica“, realizirano je nekoliko različitih aktivnosti, organiziran je posjet parku i Sokolarskom centru Šibenik, a u posjet vrtiću došla je profesorica odjela za geografiju Sveučilišta u Zadru, Vera Graovac Matassi, koja je djeci i njihovim roditeljima održala predavanje o vrstama voda, životinjama i njihovim staništima. Djeca već od najranijih godina svog života moraju razvijati prirodoslovnu pismenost jer se tako razvija svijest o potrebi zaštite i očuvanja prirode i baštine. Različitim aktivnostima kod djece je došlo do razvoja kreativnog razmišljanja, samostalnog istraživačkog pristupa, razvoja sposobnosti opažanja, smisla za estetska doživljavanja, razvoja fine motorike, timskog rada i upoznavanja s autohtonom životinjskom faunom. Dječji vrtić „Žuto pače“ ostvario je vrlo dobru suradnju s Narodnim muzejom Zadar, iako bi bilo mnogo više posjeta muzeju da je Prirodoslovni odjel bio otvoren. To nije omelo odgojiteljicu da provede druge aktivnosti kojima će poticati djecu na usvajanje novih spoznaja o prirodi. Prilikom provođenja aktivnosti djeca su bila aktivni kreatori aktivnosti, a odgojiteljica je pomno promatrala tijek realizacije i bilježila sve ono što joj je učinilo zanimljivo i poučno.
Abstract (english) This work is based on action research of children aged mixed group in kindergarten „Žuto pače“ in Zadar. The study included 28 children, 16 girls and 12 boys, and the project „World of Animals“ took place in the pedagogical year 2018./2019., from March to June 2019. The aim of the research was to examine children's experience Natural Sciences Museum, the adoption of basic natural science concepts and activities to encourage the development of initial scientific literacy. Activities are to be implemented under the Natural Sciences Department of the National Museum Zadar, but the department is closed, so it was not possible to implement any workshop or exhibition. The children visited the exhibition of the Natural Sciences Department at the Prince's Palace „Secret Museum storeroom“, realized in a number of different activities, organized a visit to the Park and Falconry Center Šibenik, and visit the kindergarten came Professor Department of Geography, University of Zadar Vera Graovac Matas, who has children and their parents held a lecture on the types of water, animals and their habitats. The children from the earliest years of his life must develop scientific literacy because in this way the awareness of the need for protection and conservation of nature and heritage. Various activities for children led to the development of creative thinking, independent research approach, the development of skills of perception, a sense of aesthetic experience, the development of fine motor skills, teamwork and learning about indigenous animal fauna. Kindergarten „Žuto pače“ has achieved very good cooperation with the National Museum Zadar, although it would be many more visits to the museum to the natural sciences section was opened. That did not stop educators to conduct other activities that will encourage children to acquire new knowledge about nature. When performing the activities the children were active creators of activities, and educators examined the course of realization and recorded everything that she has made an interesting and instructive.
