Abstract Ubrzani razvoj informacijsko- komunikacijskih tehnologija doveo je do pojave i porasta elektroničkih oblika nasilja. U okviru proučavanja odnosa nasilničkih ponašanja i dimenzija ličnosti pojedinca, prethodnim istraživanjima nastojala se ispitati uloga moralnih odrednica ličnosti u doživljavanju i činjenju elektroničkog nasilja.
Abstract (english) The accelerated development of information and communication technologies has led to the emergence and rise of electronic forms of violence (cyberbullying). As part of the study of the relationship between violent behavior and the personality dimensions of the individual, previous research has sought to examine the role of moral determinants of personality in the experience and perpetration of cyberbullying. Despite the increase in the number of studies of virtual violence in the domain of morality, a relatively small number of researchers have studied the mentioned variables in the early adult population. Therefore, the aim of this study was to examine the relationship between experiencing and perpetrating electronic violence and certain aspects of morality in students. The resarch involved 352 participants (289 women and 63 men) who completed Scale of experiencing and perpetrating electronic violence, the Scale of moral disengagement, the Test of moral reasoning and the Sociodemographic data questionnaire via the Internet. Examining the frequency of experiencing and perpetrating electronic violence, the results showed that 39.79 % of female students and 41.27 % of male students had experienced electronic violence at least once, while 28.03 % of female students and 41.27 % of male students had committed electronic violence at least once in the past 6 months. Using correlation analysis, a negative correlation has been found between experiencing electronic violence and moral reasoning, while positive correlations have been found between perpetrating electronic violence and moral disengagement and experiencing electronic violence. Also, a negative correlation has been found between moral judgement and the age of the participants. Conducting regression analysis, the results showed that moral reasoning was significant negative and perpetrating electronic violence a significant positive predictor for experiencing electronic violence. Furthermore, gender, time spent online and experiencing electronic violence proved to be significant positive predictors for perpetrating electronic violence. In summary, the results showed that, among other variables, determinants of morality play a significant role in participation in electronic forms of violence.
