Abstract (english) | Main aim of this master thesis research is to create and develop suitable model for ecotourism development for areas of County of Zadar. Model is created using multicriteria GIS analysis with software ArcMap 10.1. based on 8 criterias: altitude, slope, slope orientation, temperature, precipitation, distance from villages and cities and distance from traffic infrastructure. Apart from ArcMap 10.1., software Erdas Imagine 2014 was used to create layer of LULC with method of monitored classification. Since not all criterias have equal significance for multicriteria process, for defining of weighting coefficients AHP method was used. The highest weighting coefficients were found in criterias of slope and LULC, and reason for that is, according to literature, because they have greatest impact on ecotourism development. Created model is classified in 5 classes: very suitable, suitable, moderate, not suitable, not suitable at all. Created model has been overlapped together with limiting factors such as villages and towns, traffic infrastructure and sea. Most of County of Zadar is moderately suitable for ecotourism development, which means it is classified in moderately suitable class that covers 26,21% of whole area. Classes very suitable and suitable together cover area of 30% of County of Zadar, mostly areas of Ravni kotari, Bukovica and Ličko pounje. These areas are the most suitable for ecotourism development, and reasons for that is wide coverage with forests and grass and low slope inclinations. Classes not suitable and not suitable at all spreads on 28% of areas of County, which mostly includes Velebit mountain area, east coast of Island of Pag and far islands such as Ist, Premuda, Sestrunj and Iž. |
