Abstract (english) Although it is not noticeable at first glance, language games are played according to previously established rules. We can define it as a space in which children and adults enjoy in mastering the rules while freeing themselves in their own language by following the rules or by breaking them. (Peti-Stantić and Velički 2008) Through language game, child includes the ability to distinguish, compare and recognize voices, break words into sounds, and compose spoken sounds into words. Through game, child also masters and learns the language, enriches his vocabulary and develops physically, cognitively and socially. Child establishes a close emotional relationship with coplayers. Through language games child is active and spends less time on passive activities such as playing games or watching TV. With language games we expand vocabulary, perfect grammatical design, and develop connected speech. (Posokhova 2009). The paper consists of a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, an overview of children's speech and children's game is given. It is described how game affects the child, the development of his speech and cognitive development. In the practical part, five language games were conducted, the aim of the research and its outcomes were described, the participants in the research and the research methodology were listed. Furthermore, the activities carried out in the kindergarten "Radost", the regional facility "Vruljica" in the older mixed group "Bubamara" were described. All activities carried out were accompanied by photographs and videos.
