Play is an indispensable essence of childhood. The child acquires in a creative and relaxing way a multitude of knowledge and skills through the play. Playing alone carries motivating features necessary in the educational process during learning and teaching of the teaching contents. In this work implementation of play in the educational process of the subject Croatian language is been studied. Previously constructed games of repeating, Changeable cube (5th grade), Verb Bingo (6th grade), Historical Memory of the Croatian language (7th grade), A Journey through voice change (8th grade), are implemented on the students of the Primary school ˝Mladost˝ Jakšić. After having played the game, the students have filled out a survey questionnaire about their satisfaction with the game. The goal of this study is to see the extent to which plays, as a teaching method, are represented in the educational process. Then, explore the student aspect of the implemented games, with a view to evaluate the relevance and suitability of the games for further usage. The results of the study have shown that the students like games in the educational process. Consequently, citing its effectiveness but also its infrequent presence in educational institutions during the teaching and learning of course contents.The implemented games were evaluated with excellent grades, emphasizing their educative and engaging components. This implies the need to apply games in the educational process in order for every student to participate in it with joy and motivation to work.
