Abstract Kao što je jasno iz samog naziva, predmet Priroda i društvo objedinjuje sadržaje i znanja koja se odnose na prirodne pojave i odnose u društvu. Nastavni predmet Priroda i društvo je od iznimne važnosti za učenike u sklopu kojeg učenici spoznaju o svojem okolišu te kulturi koja ih okružuje. U prva tri razreda primarnog obrazovanja, nastava Prirode i društva organizirana je po 2 sata tjedno, što je 70 sati godišnje, dok se u četvrtom razredu satnica povećava sa 2 na 3 sata tjedno, što je 105 sati godišnje. Sadržaji nastavnog predmeta Priroda i društvo prožeti su sadržajima prirodoslovnih i društveno humanističkih znanosti. U ovom radu obrađuju se sadržaji povezani sa ishodima nastave prirodoslovlja. Prirodoslovlje kao skup prirodnih znanosti uvodi učenike u svijet istraživanja i spoznavanja prirode i okoliša koji ga okružuje. Na samom početku rada opisano je kako je organiziran kurikulum nastavnog predmeta Priroda i društvo. Zatim su opisani makrokoncepti od kojih je kurikulum sastavljen te je prikazana zastupljenost ishoda pojedinog koncepta po razredima. U istraživačkom dijelu rada se metodom analize teksta, prema udžbeniku Istražujemo naš svijet 1,2,3 i 4, analiziraju udžbeničke jedinice koje sadrže prirodoslovne pojmove te se istražuje u kojoj mjeri i na koji način se prirodoslovni ishodi ostvaruju u prva četiri razreda osnovne škole. S obzirom da je cilj nastave Prirode i društva da se spoznaje povežu i sa drugim nastavnim predmetima u radu se osim na prirodoslovne ishode predmetnog kurikuluma nadovezuje i na ishode međupredmetnih tema. Dobiveni rezultati u radu ukazuju na zastupljenost ishoda nastave prirodoslovlja u osnovnoškolskom obrazovanju.
Abstract (english) As the name implies, the subject “Nature and Society” combines content and knowledge related to natural phenomena and relations in the society. The teaching subject “Nature and Society” is of exceptional importance for students. As a part of the subject, students understand their environment and the culture that surrounds them. In the first three grades of primary education, the “Nature and Society” classes are organised twice a week, which makes for 70 classes yearly. In the fourth grade, the number of classes is increased to three classes per week, or a total of 105 classes in a year. The contents of the “Nature and Society” subject are intertwined with the contents of natural science and liberal arts. This paper discusses content related to natural science learning outcomes. Natural science, as a collection of different kinds of nature-focused scientific work, introduces students to the world of research and knowledge of nature and the environment that surrounds them. At the beginning of this paper, it is described how the curriculum of the subject of “Nature and Society” is organised. Following this, the paper describes a series of macro concepts that make the curriculum, and the representation of the outcomes of each concept by grades is shown. In the research segment of the paper, the method of text analysis is used to analyse the content of four textbooks in the “Istražujemo naš svijet” series. The textbooks analysed are “Istražujemo naš svijet” one through four. The research segment analyses textbook units that include natural science terms and explores to what extent and in what way natural science outcomes are achieved in the first four grades of elementary school. Considering that the aim of teaching “Nature and Society” is to connect knowledge with other teaching subjects, the paper also builds on the outcomes of cross-curricular topics in addition to the natural science outcomes of the subject curriculum. The results obtained in the paper indicate the representation of natural science teaching outcomes in primary education.
