Abstract (english) Disordered eating, which is manifested by abnormal eating habits and concern with physical appearance, often with a distorted perception of the appearance of one's own body, are increasingly common problems in the population (Nolan, 2010). Although most research focuses on investigating the occurrence of these problems in adolescence and early adulthood, some studies indicate the presence in middle and late adulthood as well (Gonçalves et al., 2015; McLean et al., 2010). Disordered eating can negatively affect many aspects of life, including general life satisfaction, which can be defined as the overall evaluation of one's life. The aim of this research was to examine the expression of different eating problems in adults and to examine whether there is a connection between disordered eating and life satisfaction in adults. This research focused on the study of the frequency of disordered eating in adults, meaning, it includes a wider population of adults in different stages of adulthood. A total of 292 participants took part in the research, of which 188 were women and 104 were men, ranging in age from 18 to 77 (M=35.96, SD=15.96). The Eating Disorder Symptoms Questionnaire (Fairburn and Beglin, 1994) and the Life Satisfaction Scale (Penezić, 2002) are used to collect data. The results of this study show that women score higher on the weight concern and shape concern subscales than men. Women and men did not differ in life satisfaction assessments, but a significant negative correlation was found between life satisfaction and assessment of individual eating problems (weight concerns, shape concerns, eating concerns).
