Abstract | Hrvatska se u posljednjih nekoliko godina značajno etablirala kao atraktivna destinacijazafilmsku industriju, zahvaljujući svojim prirodnim ljepotama, kulturno-povijesnimznamenitostima i povoljnim uvjetima za snimanje. Veliki preokret dogodio se s popularnomserijom "Igra prijestolja", koja je snimana u Dubrovniku i drugim dijelovima Hrvatske. Ovaj fenomen doveo je do porasta broja turista, koji su željeli posjetiti lokacije gdje su snimanescene serije. Film i turizam imaju snažnu međusobnu povezanost, pri čemu filmska industrijamože značajno utjecati na razvoj turizma. Cilj ovog rada bio je ustvrditi kako je filmskaindustrija utjecala na razvoj turizma u drugim zemljama svijeta ali i istražiti utjecaj stranihfilmskih produkcija koje snimaju u Republici Hrvatskoj na razvoj turizma. Metodološki okvirobuhvaća analizu sekundarnih izvora uključujući znanstvene članke, izvještaje i statističkepodatke koji se odnose na filmski turizam u svijetu i Hrvatskoj. Drugo, korištena je metodapolustrukturiranog intervjua među predstavnicima turističkih zajednica i filmskih uredauHrvatskoj, kako bi se dobio uvid u konkretne primjere, njihova iskustva te izazovei mogućnosti razvoja ovog oblika turizma na nacionalnoj razini. Rezultati istraživanja pokazujuda se filmski turizam u Hrvatskoj još uvijek nalazi u fazi razvoja, dok su trenutni učinci stranih produkcija uglavnom indirektni. Iako snimanje filmova privlači pažnju i stvarapotencijal za turistički rast, neophodno je dodatno raditi na strategijama kako bi se ovaj oblikturizma efikasnije iskoristio u budućnosti. |
Abstract (english) | Croatia has, in recent years, significantly established itself as an attractive destinationfor thefilm industry, thanks to its natural beauty, cultural and historical landmarks, and favorablefilming conditions. A major turning point occurred with the popular series "GameofThrones," which was filmed in Dubrovnik and other parts of Croatia. This phenomenonledtoan increase in the number of tourists who wanted to visit the locations where scenes fromtheseries were filmed. Film and tourism have a strong interconnection, with the filmindustryhaving the potential to significantly influence the development of tourism. The aimof thispaper was to determine how the film industry has impacted the development of tourisminother countries around the world, and to explore the impact of foreign filmproductionsfilming in the Republic of Croatia on tourism development. The methodological frameworkincludes an analysis of secondary sources, including scientific articles, reports, and statistical data related to film tourism worldwide and in Croatia. Secondly, the method of semi-structured interviews was used with representatives of tourist boards and filmofficesinCroatia, to gain insight into specific examples, their experiences, as well as the challenges andopportunities for developing this form of tourism on a national level. The researchresultsshow that film tourism in Croatia is still in its development phase, while the current effectsofforeign productions are mostly indirect. Although film shootings attract attention andcreatepotential for tourism growth, it is necessary to further work on strategies to more effectivelyleverage this form of tourism in the future. Film and tourism are strongly interconnected, with the film industry significantly influencingtourism development. The aim of this paper was to explore the impact of foreignfilmproductions shooting in the Republic of Croatia on tourism development. The researchwasconducted using semi-structured interviews to gather data on the perceptions and experiencesof various stakeholders from the tourism and film industries. The results showthat filmtourism in Croatia is still in the development phase, with the current effects of foreignproductions being mostly indirect. Although film shoots attract attention and create potential for tourism growth, further efforts are needed in infrastructure and marketing strategiestofully capitalize on this form of tourism in the future. |
