Abstract | Specifične teškoće učenja (SPU) predstavljaju velik izazov u obrazovnom sustavu. Ovakva djeca zahtijevaju individualizirane obrazovne planove i angažmane učitelja te pozitivno ozračje jer u suprotnome slabi njihov akademski uspjeh i emocionalni razvoj. |
Abstract (english) | Specific Learning Difficulties (SLD) present a significant challenge within the educational system due to the increasing number of students with difficulties in reading, writing, and arithmetic that are not directly linked to intelligence. This paper provides a detailed overview of SLD, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and dyspraxia, analyzing the characteristics, causes, and forms of each difficulty. The second part of the paper focuses on the influence of the environment on individuals with Specific Learning Difficulties, with an emphasis on collaboration between teachers, parents, and specialists. These children require individualized educational plans, teacher engagement, and a positive atmosphere, as their academic success and emotional development may otherwise be compromised. In recent years, this issue has been more thoroughly researched, unlike in the past when such children did not receive appropriate support and their difficulties were often perceived as a lack of knowledge in specific areas. The paper also reviews modern approaches to addressing specific learning difficulties, emphasizing the importance of teacher and community education and the use of various didactic materials that facilitate the learning process. This study contributes to a better understanding of the complexity of specific learning difficulties and underscores the need for further research and improvements in educational policies and practices for students with Specific Learning Difficulties. |
