Dolaze u različitim pasminskim varijatetima i
fizikalnu terapiju Veterinarskog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Zagrebu.
pasa bez promjena 4,93 godina. Uočen je značajan broj promjena na lokomotornom,
kardiovaskularnom i probavnom sustavu. Prema pojavnosti najučestalije su
dijagnoze deformirajuće spondiloze torakalnog i lumbalnog dijela kralježnice,
sakralizacija i kalcinoza međukralježničnih diskova.
Abstract (english) | Occurrence and Etiology of Radiological Findings in Dachshunds
Dachshunds are becoming a more popular dog breed every day, not only
between hunters, but also as companion dogs. They come in different breed varieties
and types (standard, rabbit and mini), while a special group are the Alpine
Dachsbracke. Because of their specific body structure, they are prone to spine
diseases and other degenerative diseases due to their longevity.
In this retrospective study, dachshund dogs, patients of the Department of
Radiology, Ultrasound Diagnostics and Physical Therapy, Faculty of Veterinary
Medicine, University of Zagreb, were observed over the past 5 years. 260 cases were
recorded, of which 199 (77%) were dogs with changes and 61 dogs (23%) with
negative X-ray findings. The number of males and females in the test is equal. The
average age of dogs with a positive X-ray finding is 7.66 years, while the average age
of dogs without changes is 4.93 years. A significant number of changes in the
locomotor, cardiovascular and digestive systems were observed. According to the
incidence, the most frequent diagnoses are deforming spondylosis of the thoracic and
lumbar spine, sacralization and calcinosis of the intervertebral discs. According to the
etiological division, most of the changes are classified into the group of degenerative
changes, while groups of diseases of a congenital or developmental nature are
sporadically represented. A limitation in the research is the use X-ray, which is often
not sufficient for a definitive diagnosis, which leaves many cases with multicausal or
unknown etiology. The results of this research are in accordance with the previously
known data from the literature and show that the population of searched
dachshunds does not deviate from the previously searched groups of dachshunds. |
