Abstract
Industrijska konoplja je biljka koja sadrži više od 100 podtipova fitokanabinoida. Kanabidiol (CBD) je najzastupljeniji kanabinoid u konoplji. On nema psihoaktivno djelovanje na organizam, a ima širok raspon farmakološkog djelovanja na životinjski organizam. Osim farmakološkog djelovanja, konoplja je zanimljiva i zbog visoke nutritivne vrijednosti. Cilj ovog diplomskog rada bilo je pokušati obraditi sve mogućnosti korištenja industrijske konoplje u hranidbi kućnih ljubimaca te njezinih utjecaja na životinjski organizam. Konoplja se kao jedna od najstarijih kultiviranih biljaka koristi već dugo vremena. Ipak njena primjena u biomedicinskom području se tek relativno nedavno popularizirala zbog svih njenih poznatih, ali i nekih novootkrivenih pozitivnih svojstava. Kad je prehrana životinja u pitanju, u prvi plan pri korištenju industrijske konoplje stavlja se ulje koje se dobiva iz sjemenki konoplje. Sjemenke konoplje bogate su esencijalnim masnim kiselinama kao što su omega-3 i omega-6 masne kiseline, ali i esencijalnim aminokiselinama od kojih su najzastupljenije metionin, cistein, arginin te glutaminska kiselina. Takva spoznaja otvara nam mogućnost primjene industrijske konoplje kao zamjene animalnim bjelančevinama koje smo do sad najčešće koristili u hranidbi kućnih ljubimaca. Korištenje animalnih bjelančevina se već neko vrijeme ne smatra dugoročno održivim pa se javlja potreba za nekim novim, alternativnim oblicima koje bismo implementirali u svakodnevnu prehranu kućnih ljubimaca.
Abstract (english)
Industrial hemp is a plant that contains more than 100 subtypes of phytocannabinoids. Cannabidiol (CBD) is the most common cannabinoid in hemp. It has no psychoactive effect on the organism and has a wide range of pharmacological effects on the animal organism. In addition to its pharmacological effects, hemp is also interesting because of its high nutritional value. The goal of this thesis was to try to process all the possibilities of using industrial hemp in pet nutrition and its effects on animal organisms. As one of the oldest cultivated plants, hemp has been used for a long time. However, its application in the biomedical field has only recently become popular because of all its known, but also some newly discovered positive characteristics. When it comes to animal nutrition, the oil derived from hemp seeds is the most popular way of using hemp. Hemp seeds are rich in essential fatty acids such as omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, but also essential amino acids, such as methionine, cysteine, arginine, and glutamic acid. This finding opens up the possibility of using industrial hemp as a protein substitute in pet nutrition, where we mainly use animal proteins. The use of animal proteins has not been considered sustainable for quite some time, so there is a need for some new, alternative forms that we would implement in the daily diet of pets.
