Abstract
Varooza je nametnička bolest zajednica medonosne pčele uzrokovana hemofagnom grinjom V. destructor. Obzirom na činjenicu da je invadiran svaki pčelinjak te da štete koje bolest nanosi predstavljaju jedan od ključnih čimbenika koji uzrokuju ugibanja pčelinjih zajednica, postoji nužnost i zakonska obveza kontroliranja bolesti. U 2018. godini za primjenu u veterinarskoj medicini, a za kontroliranje varooze registrirano je jedanaest veterinarsko medicinskih proizvoda, među kojima i jedini „bezreceptni“ lijek VarroMed®. Kontroliranje varooze primjenom u pčelarstvu odobrenih VMP je obvezno, pa je cilj ovog istraživanja bio utvrđivanje učinkovitosti VarroMed®- a u ljetnom i zimskom tretiranju pčelinjih zajednica na pčelinjaku smještenom u kontinentalnom dijelu RH.
Abstract (english)
Varoosis is a parasitic disease of honeybee colonies caused by haemophagous mite V. destructor. Taking into consideration that every honeybee colony is infested and that damage caused by the pest is one of the key factors of honeybee colonies dying, there is a necessity as well as legal obligation to control it. In 2018, eleven veterinary-medicinal products have been registered to be used in veterinary medicine to control varoosis among which, the only ,,non-prescription“ drug is VarroMed®. Control of varoosis with veterinary-medicinal products approved in beekeeping is obligatory, so the aim of this research was to determine the effectiveness of VarroMed® during summer and winter treatment of honeybee colonies on apiary in the continental part of Republic of Croatia.
