Abstract
Ovaj rad donosi pregled rezultata seroloških istraživanja pojavnosti protutijela za leptospirozu u divljih i domaćih životinja te ljudi na području Republike Hrvatske, tijekom vremenskog perioda od 1990. do 2015. godine. U Republici Hrvatskoj leptospiroza je značajan javno zdravstveni problem, te se RH-a s obzirom na učestalost pojavljivanja leptospiroze svrstava na 13 mjesto u svijetu te prvu zemlju Europske unije s prijavljenim brojem oboljelih od 17,3 na milijun stanovnika. Većina pozitivnih uzoraka utvrđena je u tzv. “arhaičnim ognjištima“ leptospiroze u kontinentalnim dijelovima Hrvatske, Posavini, Slavoniji i Baranji te Podravini, dok je Gorski Kotar označen kao stanište u kojem leptospire rijetko egzistiraju. Najčešći zabilježeni serovar Leptospira spp. u smeđeg štakora i smeđeg medvjeda je Icterohaemorrhagiae, u lisica, kuna i divljih svinja najčešći je Australis, dok je kod domaćih mesojeda i jelena običnog to serovar Pomona. Ljudi su najčešće seropozitivni na serovar Australis. Na temelju provedenih istraživanja, možemo zaključiti da se epizootiološko širenje leptospira u prirodi održava kruženjem uzročnika između domaćih i divljih životinja te ljudi.
Abstract (english)
This paper presents an overview of results of the serological studies on the incidence of leptospirosis antibodies in wild and domestic animals, as well as in humans in Croatia over the period of 25 years (1990 to 2015). In Croatia, leptospirosis is a significant public health problem. The country is ranked 13th in the world and 1st in the European Union in terms of the incidence of leptospirosis, and the first EU country with the reported 17,3 diseased out of a million inhabitants. Most positive samples were identified in so-called natural focuses of leptospirosis, found in the continental parts of Croatia, in Posavina, Slavonia and Baranja and Podravina, while Gorski Kotar is designated as a habitat where leptospires rarely exist. The most common Leptospira spp serovar in brown rats and brown bear is Icterohaemorrhagiae, in foxes, martens and wild boars the most common is Australis, and Pomona is most known in the cases of domestic carnivores and red deer. Humans are most commonly seropositive to Australis serovar. Based on the conducted research, it can be concluded that the epizootiological spread of Leptospira serovars in nature is maintained by circulating pathogens between domestic and wild animals as well as humans.
