Abstract
Govedarstvo kao najvažnija sastavnica stočarstva može se smatrati temeljem razvoja ukupne stočarske proizvodnje. Iz tog se razloga ulažu veliki napori na unaprjeđenje iste kroz stručno djelovanje raznih djelatnosti pa tako i veterinarske. Stručnjaci iz raznih područja rade na otkrivanju novih i poboljšanju postojećih postupaka u uzgoju. Biotehnologija rasplođivanja do te je mjere napredovala da u govedarstvu više gotovo i nema prirodnog pripusta. Poveznica hranidbe i reprodukcije je u utjecaju hranidbe na fiziološke procese već od najranijih faza razvoja rasplodnih bikova pa do same kvalitete sjemena. Naime, na razvoj budućeg rasplodnjaka može se utjecati već hranidbom njegove majke za vrijeme graviditeta, hranidba može imati utjecaj i na vrijeme ulaska u pubertet i postizanja spolne zrelosti, kroz utjecaj na stvaranje i otpuštanje hormona te veličinu testisa, a u odrasloj dobi i na rasplodne pokazatelje.
Abstract (english)
The cattle breeding as the most important component of animal husbandry may be considered the basis for development of a total animal husbandry production. Accordingly, the great efforts have been made in order to further improve such production through professional expertise by different professions, including veterinary profession. The experts belonging to different fields are working on invention of novel and on improvement of existing procedures in animal breeding. Biotechnology of reproduction advanced to such extent that in the cattle breeding natural insemination has been almost banned. The connection between nutrition and reproduction is apparent as the feeding regimes are influencing physiological processes from the earliest stages of breeding bulls development up to the quality of their semen. Namely, the development of a future breeding bull may be already influenced by the nutrition of its mother during gravidity, but also feeding regime may have influence on the time of entering the puberty and reaching of sexual maturity, particularly by influencing the synthesis and releasing of hormons, size of testis as well as the reproductive efficiency in adult breeders.
