Due to inflation, companies often delay their investment due to uncertainty in the market. The severity of the consequences of inflation depends largely on whether it is predicted or not. If people predict an increase in the inflation rate, then the effects will be less as these expectations will incorporate into their behavior. When it comes to controlling and suppressing inflation, inflation is largely controlled by the central bank and the government. One popular method of controlling inflation is contractionary monetary policy.
