Abstract | U 21. stoljeću teško da se netko nije susreo s društvenim mrežama. Internet je postao vodeći kanal za razmjenu informacija i komunikaciju, a novinski članci zamijenjeni su internetskim. COVID-19 kriza koja je zavladala početkom 2020., pogodila je čovječanstvo na globalnoj razini, a najviše u području zdravstva, gospodarstva, ekonomije i socijalne interakcije. Pozitivne stvari koje su proizašle iz pandemije su automatiziranje raznih procesa i njihova dostupnost u online obliku te nova radna mjesta i povećanje opsega posla u IT sektoru. Osim toga, društvene mreže su omogućile lak pristup informacijama, ali isto tako i dezinformacijama. U teorijskom dijelu rada, proučena su obilježja krize, kriznog menadžmenta i kriznog komuniciranja, zatim informacije o koronavirusu, njegov razvoj i širenje te njegov utjecaj na ekonomiju. Analizirane su komunikacijske aktivnosti državnih tijela putem društvenih mreža te načini na koje su upravljali krizom. Empirijski dio rada temelji se na anketnom upitniku u kojem ispitanici izražavaju svoje mišljenje o komunikaciji tijekom pandemije te dostupnosti i istinitosti informacija. Rezultati istraživanja ukazuju na to da državna tijela i institucije nisu bili dovoljno spremni na krizu te da njihovo prenošenje informacija nije obuhvatilo širu javnost, već su se ljudi informirali na drugačije načine. Platforma za cijepljenje, koja je plasirana, nije doživjela uspjeh, što je još jedan pokazatelj nespremnosti na borbu protiv pandemije. |
Abstract (english) | In the 21st century, it's hard to find someone who hasn't come across social media. The Internet has become the leading channel for information exchange and communication, replacing newspapers. The COVID-19 crisis that started in early 2020 has impacted humanity on a global scale, particularly in the areas of healthcare, economy, and social interaction. Positive outcomes from the pandemic include the automation of various processes and their availability online, as well as new job opportunities and increased work volume in the IT sector. Additionally, social media has provided easy access to information, but also to misinformation. The theoretical part of the paper explores crisis characteristics, crisis management, and crisis communication, as well as information on the coronavirus, its development and spread, and its impact on the economy. An analysis of communication activities by state agencies through social media was carried out, along with the ways in which they managed the crisis. The empirical part of the paper is based on a survey questionnaire in which respondents express their opinions on communication during the pandemic, as well as the availability and accuracy of information. The research results indicate that state agencies and institutions were not sufficiently prepared for the crisis, and that their transmission of information did not reach the general public, as people got information through other means. The vaccination site that was launched was not successful, which is another indicator of unpreparedness for the fight against the pandemic. |
