In order to achieve a company's competitive advantage, it is necessary to determine the sources of competitive advantage for the company and to choose an appropriate generic and development strategy by applying the strategic management process. This final paper contains the processing of the theoretical framework of development strategies and the analysis of the company ZIP d.o.o. for the purpose of determining the development strategy that would achieve the goals and vision of the company. The analysis established the existence of an opportunity to increase the market share in the existing activity, which indicates the implementation of a horizontal development strategy, namely through the application of concentration. Furthermore, there is also a desire to enter into new and different activities from the existing ones, which indicates the possible implementation of a diagonal development strategy and related diversification. The aforementioned proposals for development strategies provide a clear direction for the future development of ZIP d.o.o.
