Abstract
Rehabilitacija je kompleksan proces. Ona mora umanjiti nastala oštećenja uslijed bolesti. Neurološki pacijenti nailaze na mnoge poteškoće te samim time pristup takvim pacijentima mora biti pomno odabran. Neurološke bolesti dovode do sve većeg broja invaliditeta i smrtnosti te se mora pokušati pronaći način kako bi se usporila progresija bolesti. Neurorehabilitacija se temelji na neuroplastičnosti te ima veliku ulogu u ponovnom uspostavljanju funkcija nužnih za obavljanje aktivnosti svakodnevnog života. Koncept proprioceptivne neuromuskularne facilitacije prvenstveno se koristio na djeci koja su bila neurološki pacijenti, no danas se vrlo često i uspješno primjenjuje u neurorehabilitaciji.
Abstract (english)
Rehabilitation is a complex process. It must reduce the damage caused by the disease. Neurological patients encounter many difficulties, and therefore the approach to such patients must be carefully chosen. Neurological diseases are leading to an increasing number of disabilites and mortality, and efforts must be made to find a way to slow the progression of the disease. Neurorehabilitation is based on neuroplasticity and plays a significant role in reestablising the functions necessary to perform daily life activities. The concept of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation was primarily used in children who were neurological patients, but today it is very often and successfully applied in neurorehabilitation.
