Abstract (english) Migraine, as an overwhelming disease, is classified as a primary headache. According to the clinical picture, migraine is distinguished as: migraine without aura and migraine with aura, and according to the frequency of attacks as episodic and chronic migraine. Clinically, the most dominant symptom is a headache that can last 4-72 hours with unilateral, pulsating, moderate to severe pain, and is accompanied by nausea, photophobia and/or phonophobia, symptoms that worsen with physical activity. The pathophysiology of the disease is based on theories of hyperexcitability of the brain, genetic factors and other factors. In this diploma thesis, current knowledge about migraine is presented through a review of the literature, and a theoretical overview of the mechanism of the occurrence of this disease is included. The main goal of this work was to distinguish whether physical activity a preventive factor for the onset of migraine attacks or is it a trigger for them Searching the PubMed database with the keywords "migraine and sport" yielded a total of 406 papers, of which 12 were systematic reviews and 11 were meta-analyses. The papers are classified according to the topic they cover into those dealing with the connection between physical activity and migraine and those dealing with the topic of sports as a migraine trigger. The results of the studies show very different results on the connection between migraine and physical activity. It has been proven that regular physical activity can have a positive effect on people who suffer from migraines, but also that strenuous physical activity can be a trigger for a migraine attack. Certainly, further research is needed to deepen the connection between sport and migraine.
