Abstract
Kako osobe stare tako dolazi i do sve češćih pojava funkcionalnih ograničenja koje nastaju uslijed oštećenja vida, sluha, ravnoteže, pamćenja te raznih kroničnih bolesti. Vjerojatnost da će se pad dogoditi često možemo pripisati osobnom uzroku i utjecaju okoline. Većina padova kod osoba starije životne dobi povezana je s faktorima rizika koji se vežu uz tu životnu dob. Upravo su padovi vodeći uzrok smrtnosti i ozljeđivanja kod starijih osoba koje za posljedicu imaju invalidnost i nepokretnost, te često zahtijevaju trajnu medicinsku skrb i visoke troškove liječenja. Iz tog razloga redovita umjerena aktivnost od velike je važnosti te će ona pridonijeti postizanju i održanju ravnoteže, fleksibilnosti, pravilnog hoda te snage mišića i kostiju. Za vježbanje nikad nije kasno, a upravo ono reducira rizik od pada.
Abstract (english)
As people get older this is the way to the more frequent occurrences of functional constraints caused by vision, hearing, balance, memory and various chronic illnesses. The likelihood of falling will often be attributed to the personal cause and the impact of the environment. Most of the falls in older people are associated with risk factors associated with that age. It is precisely the fall that is the leading cause of mortality and injury in older people, resulting in disability and immobility, and often require continued medical care and high costs of treatment. For this reason, regular moderate activity is of great importance and will contribute to achieving and maintaining balance, flexibility, correct walking and strength of the muscles and bones. Training is never too late, and it just reduces the risk of falling.
