Abstract
Korištenje prirodnih ljekovitih čimbenika za opuštanje i liječenje poznato je od davnina, kako u svijetu tako i u Hrvatskoj. Balneoterapija je kombinacija fizikalnih svojstava vode i apsorpcije mineralnih tvari kroz kožu u svrhu terapije. Klimatoterapija je iskorištavanje čimbenika klime jednog kraja u svrhu liječenja i rehabilitacije. Unatoč velikom napretku suvremene medicine, korištenje prirodnih ljekovitih čimbenika pa tako i balneoterapije i klimatoterapije izaziva sve veći interes današnjice. Zdravstveni i lječilišni turizam najpoznatije su metode koje potiču razvoj korištenja prirodnih ljekovitih čimbenika. Hrvatska je bogata lokacijama za balneoterapiju i klimatoterapiju te time ni malo ne zaostaje za ostatkom svijeta ali se smatra da je i dalje potrebno uložiti mnogo truda da bi se usluga dovela na svjetsku razinu.
Abstract (english)
The use of natural healing factors for relaxation and treatment has been known since ancient times, both in the world and in Croatia. Balneotherapy is a combination of physical properties of water and the absorption of mineral substances through the skin for the purpose of therapy. Climatotherapy is usage of climate factors of one region for the purpose of treatment and rehabilitation. Despite the great advances in contemporary medicine, the use of natural healing factors, as well as balneotherapy and climatotherapy, is causing an increasing interest nowadays. Health and spa tourism are the most popular methods that encourage the development of the use of natural healing factors. Croatia is rich in balneotherapy and climatotherapy locations, and is not falling behind the rest of the world, but it's considered that much effort is still needed to bring the service to the world level.
