Abstract
Aneurizma abdominalne aorte je kronično degenerativno stanje koje dovodi do lokalnog, trajnog i nepovratnog proširenja lumena aorte. Uzrok njezinog nastanka nije u krajnosti razriješen, no smatra se kako dolazi do degeneracije vezivnog tkiva stijenke aorte, te ona slabi i proširuje se pod utjecajem krvnog tlaka. Njezina prisutnost može dugotrajno ostati neprepoznata te se može otkriti tek pri pregledu nekog drugog stanja. Dijagnosticirati se može na više načina. Liječenje abdominalne aneurizme ovisi o mnogo čimbenika, no moguća su dva načina liječenja: endovaskularno liječenje (EVAR) i otvoreni kirurški pristup.
Abstract (english)
Aortic abdominal aneurysm is chronic degenerative condition that leads to local, permanent and irreversible enlargement of aortic lumen. Couse of its occurrence is not fully released, but it is considered that degeneration happens on aortic connective tissue wall, so it gets weaken and expands affected by blood pressure. Its presence may long remain unrecognized and be revealed when inspecting some other condition. It can be diagnosed in few ways. Treatment of abdominal aneurysm depends on many factors, but there are two methods of treatment: endovascular treatment (EVAR) and open surgical reconstruction.
