Abstract
Prije nekoliko desetljeća ugradnja umjetnih zglobova u ortopedskoj kirurgiji bila je rijetkost, no danas je primjena endoproteza, osobito endoproteza kuka postala gotovo svakodnevan ortopedski zahvat. Postupak ugradnje endoproteze zgloba kuka nazvan je artroplastika. Artroplastika je kirurški postupak kojim se oblikuje umjetni zglob funkcionalno i anatomski identiĉan biološkom. Postignute su velike pogodnosti za bolesnike koji se odluče na artroplastiku u vidu da nakon operacije imaju bezbolan kuk s povećanim opsegom pokretljivosti. Glavni razlozi, odnosno indikacije za ugradnju endoproteze kuka jesu jaka bol, smanjenje i gubitak pokretljivosti zgloba. Kada bolesnikove tegobe postanu toliko jake i izrazite, da smanjuju, možda čak i gotovo onemogućuju njegove svakidašnje aktivnosti, bolesnik se nakon razgovora i dogovora s ortopedom, odlučuje za endoprotezu zgloba kuka. Cilj i sama bolesnikova želja je da se dobije stabilan, bezbolan i pokretljiv zglob kuka, da se poboljša i poveća opseg pokreta samog zgloba kuka kako bi poboljšao svoje mogućnosti hoda i kretanja, te time poboljšao samu kvalitetu života.
Abstract (english)
A few decades ago, artificial wrist joints in orthopedic surgery were rare, but today the use of endoprosthesis, especially hip endoprotectomy, has become almost everyday orthopedic surgery. The hip replacement procedure is called arthroplasty. Arthroplasty is a surgical procedure by which an artificial wrist is formed functionally and anatomically identical to biological. Great benefits have been achieved for patients who choose to experience arthroplasty in the form of a painless hip after surgery with increased mobility. The main causes or indications for hip endoprosthesis are strong pain, reduction and loss of joint mobility. When the patient's problems become so strong and pronounced, perhaps even almost disable their daily activities, the patient decides for the hip joint endoprosthesis after the talk and orthopedic agreement. The goal of the patient's own desire is to get a stable, painless, and movable hip to improve and increase the volume of movement of the hip joints to improve their ability to walk and move, in such a way improving the quality of life.
