Abstract
Tema završnog rada je Ovlast i uloga Europskog parlamenta. Rad je tematski podijeljen na dvanaest dijelova. Početak završnog rada se odnosi općenito na Europsku uniju i njene misije. Drugi dio završog rada se odnosi na Europski parlament na njegovu povijest, kako je nastao, koje godine, zbog čega je nastao. Dalje u radu ću pisati o sjedištu parlamenta, kakav je izborni postupak u svim članicama parlamenta, kao i tko ima pravo na glasovanje koja je minimalna dob, u kojoj državi kao što je u svim državama članicama dopušteno glasovanje sa navršenih 18 godina, osim u Austriji i Malti gdje se može glasovati sa 16 godina, a u Grčkoj sa navršenih 17 godina. Zatim u radu govorim o ovlastima Europskom parlamenta, koje se mogu podijeliti u 3 glavne skupine a to su sudjelovanje u zakonodavnom postupku, određene ovlasti u postupku donošenja proračuna i demokratska kontrola nad funkcijom Unije i kako Europski parlament sudjeluje u zakonodavnom postupku. I na samom kraju pisat ću o demokraciji ljudskih prava u Europskom parlamentu.
Abstract (english)
The topic of the final paper is The authority and Role of the European Parliament. The paper is thematically divided into twelve sections. The beginning of the thesis is generally about the European Union and its missions. The second part of the final paper deals with the history of the European Parliament, how it was made, which year and why it was made. After that, I will write about the headquarters of the parliament, what is the election process in all members of parliament like as well as who has the right to vote, what is the minimum age for voting in which country, such as in all Member States are allowed to vote from the age of 18, except in Austria and in Malta, where voting is possible at the age of 16, and in Greece at the age of 17. Then, in the paper, I will talk about the authorities of the European Parliament, which can be divided into 3 main groups: participating in the legislative process, certain authority in the budgetary process and democratic control of the function of the Union, and how the European Parliament participates in the legislative process. Finally, I will write about the democracy of human rights in the European Parliament.
