This thesis aims to provide a detailed analysis of the V-429E type fuze on the base of a computer-generated 3D model. Using this means it is possible to take a closer and thorough look at some of its basic components, namely the activating and arming devices, as well as the tuning of the fuze to achieve a desired effect. Each of the 3 main operating principles will be described, while also describing the process of threading the fuze onto its shell. In addition to a computerized 3D model, this thesis lists a number of differences between the V-429 and V-429E type of fuzes, respectively. Provided with the model is also a 3D animation of the fuze, showing its mounting to a shell, with arming and activation sequences shown separately in each of the 3 operating principles. The 3D model was generated in SolidWorks CAD (computer aided design) software while the animations were created using the Blender CAD software. The last chapter in this thesis list some of the fuzes used with the 120 mm tank ordnance typically found in service with the Western armies, all while pointing out some of their differences in contrast to the V429E type fuze.
