Abstract
Rad se bavi tematikom stresa kao reakcije organizma na ugrožavajuće i neuobičajene situacije te popratnih posljedica koje isti izaziva. Specifično je riječ o psihičkim poremećajima poput akutnog stresnog poremećaja (ASP), te posttraumatskog stresnog poremećaja (PTSP). Stres kao takav je objašnjen na primjeru civilnog i vojnog okruženja s ponuđenim primjerima stresora koji su specifični za oba. Naglasak je stavljen na sami PTSP, od njegovog nastanka i prepoznavanja te popratnih simptoma preko kojih se očituje. Također je objašnjena razlika između pojedinih vrsta spomenutog poremećaja na osnovi vremena nastanka, to jest pojavljivanja simptoma. Nakon obrađenih, međusobno povezanih cjelina stresa i PTSP-a, također je obrađena i tematika tretiranja PTSP-a pomoću terapije. U radu su objašnjene dvije vrste terapije – psihoterapija i farmakoterapija. Za obje su također ponuđeni primjeri iz prakse preko kojih je vidljiva učinkovitost istih.
Abstract (english)
This paper deals with the topic of stress as an organism's reaction to threats and unusual situations, aswell as the side effects it causes. Specifically, it is about mental disorders such as acute stress disorder (ASD) and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Stress as such is explained on the example of civilian and military enviroment with offered examples of stressors that are specific to both. Emphasis has been placed on PTSD itself, from its onset and the recognition of the accompanying symptoms through which it manifests. The paper also deals with the difference between specific types of PTSD based on time onset or appearance of symptoms. After interrelated topics of stress and PTSD are processed, the paper covers PTSD treatment through therapy. It contains information on two types of therapy – psychotherapy and pharmacotherapy. Real-life examples for both are provided at the end of the paper to show their proved efficiency.
