This paper analyzes the problem of loading a 20 mm M-55 cannon, the main armament on the M-80A infantry fighting vehicle in the service of the Croatian Army. First of all, the concept of infantry fighting vehicles and what they are used for on today's battlefields is explained, as well as a brief historical overview of the development of infantry fighting vehicles. Furthermore, the infantry fighting vehicle was briefly analyzed with an emphasis on its main formation armament, and in particular on the feeding, i.e. loading, of the main armament of the 20 mm M-55 cannon. After presenting the advantages and disadvantages of the combat vehicle itself, some dual-feed solutions used in the Western armies are analyzed. Finally, a conceptual solution for feeding a 20 mm M-55 cannon is proposed. As part of the proposal, a model of the feeding system itself was developed and the necessary changes that should be made to the vehicle itself were proposed.
