This is especially true of human-animal communication. The role of the dog in human life has changed throughout history. As the role of the dog in human life changed, so did the communication between the dog and man. However, only recently has research been conducted in the field of nonverbal communication of dogs. Because the dog does not use human language, he conveys his messages through nonverbal communication. Understanding non-verbal signs and messages is very important for the successful realization of communication between man and dog. Today, more and more dog owners are emphasizing the interpretation of messages sent to them by their dog. Also, understanding the nonverbal messages sent by the dog is essential in the socialization and training of dogs. Each dog is an individual in itself and should be understood in this way in the process of socialization and training. Only in this way can his body language be spoken. Proper interpretation of nonverbal messages by dogs raises the quality of the relationship between man and dog. It is the man who can recognize the messages that the dog is sending him and it is important that fall owners notice the signals sent to them by their dogs. In this way, the relationship between man and dog can be improved. Apart from the fact that understanding the messages, ie the language of the dog, is important for communication between the dog owner and the dog, it is extremely important in training the dog to perform certain functions. Dog training is impossible to conduct without understanding the nonverbal communication of dogs and acting in accordance with that nonverbal communication.
