In the modern way of doing business due to the increasing competition, company's most important tasks is that the customer's recognizes the quality of there products and that they are satisfied with them. In order to achieve that the customer each time get's a quality product it is necessary that a company establish a quality management system. In this paper it is described a "quality management system" ISO 9001 with its chapters and requirements. After that it is described his implementation, from planning to certification, was described in the wood processing and woodworking in company "Viševica Komp d.o.o.“ In order to be computerized and thus facilitated the conduct of quality management system in the further course it is discribed the intersection of information systems that offers a module for quality management. To realized what such a module offers it is described "Quality management" in information system SAP. In the following paper it is described wood processing and woodworking in the facility so it would be able to analyze where the information management system has advantages over the current quality management system. At the end of paper it is given estimate cost-effectiveness of implementation of an information system for quality management.
