Abstract (english) The Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) is the largest member of the cat family in Europe. It is extremely difficult to observe and explore this rare and hidden species, however, its territoriality as well as the need to mark that territory offer an insight into the presence of that species in some habitat. Active lynx scent-markings are one of the few signs of its presence and that is the main topic of this research. According to the photos that show the presence of felids and the way of marking the territory with urine, feces and hair, the presence of the lynx has been proven. Lynxes visit certain locations in quiet and deserted areas, in other words, rarely visited areas. A lynx needs peace and quiet, areas filled with prey to hunt and safe places for marking its territory. When it comes to the locality where the fieldwork was conducted, it can be pointed out that the lynx spent most of the time in places where old wooden houses were previously seen, especially where old wooden barns used to be. It also lingers around concrete barns, but to a lesser extent. It almost never lingers around concrete houses. Lynxes also use macadam roads for several reasons. One reason is easier road movement, and the other is the lurking of the prey which also uses the same road. The third reason is that other lynxes use the roads, so all the visible objects on the roads are often used as the scent-markings. The conclusion of this paper is that lynxes use noticeably large objects for marking their territory. Those objects are mostly not used anymore and they are generally located near forest roads.
