Abstract
Pojam "Internet stvari" pripisuje se Kevinu Ashtonu iz tvrtke Procter & Gamble, koji je u članku iz 1999. godine upotrijebio frazu za opisivanje uloge RFID oznaka u učinkovitom opskrbnom lancu. Tada je ideja o elektroničkom prikupljanju podataka u proizvodnom pogonu ili skladištu i povezivanju s računalima za analizu još uvijek bila vrlo nova. Prema jednoj procjeni, do 2020. godine na internet će biti priključeno 50 milijardi uređaja. Internet stvari označava povezivanje uređaja putem interneta. Spajanje uređaja može biti bežično i omogućava nove mogućnosti za međusobnu interakciju ne samo između različitih sustava i donosi nove mogućnosti njihove kontrole, praćenje i pružanje naprednih usluga. Internet stvari obećava transformaciju širokog raspona područja. Internet stvari uvelike se primjenjuje u medicini, auto industriji, energetskom sektoru, u agrikulturi,trgovini, logistici, kontroli okoliša, pametnom prijevozu, pametnim kućama i dr.
Abstract (english)
The term "Internet stuff" is attributed to Kevin Ashton from Procter & Gamble, which in the article in 1999 used the phrase to describe the role of RFID tags in an efficient supply chain. Then the idea of electronic data collection in a production plant or warehouse and connecting with analysis computers was still very new. According to one estimation, by 2020, 50 billion devices will be connected to the Internet. Internet stuff means connecting devices over the internet. Connecting the device can be wireless and allows new interaction options not only between the different systems and brings new possibilities of controlling, tracking, and providing advanced services. Internet stuff promises transformation of broad range of areas. Internet stuff is widely applied in medicine, auto industry, energy sector, agriculture, trade, logistics, environment control, smart transportation, smart homes and more.
