Abstract (english) Before founding a craftsman should be familiar with the concept, legal requirements and conditions for opening. The law defines a trade as an independent and permanent licensed economic activity of natural persons for the purpose of gaining income or profit from production, trade or provision of services on the market. Any economic activity that is not prohibited by law is allowed. Craft, manufacturing or service activity in which various useful and decorative items are produced individually, in part or in full, in small workshops or for the provision of services in the market. The craftsman participates in this work with his means of production and professional skills, completing the entire production or service process, alone or in collaboration with support staff, teaching his students and assistants practical work, thus nurturing their future independent craftsmen. Craft activities (crafts) are divided into free trades (for which no qualification or master's exam is required), related trades (for which a professional qualification or master's exam is required) and privileged crafts (which are performed only on the basis of privileges granted by state authorities). The difference between crafts and industry is that it employs a small number of employees, mostly manual labor, there is no developed division of labor, the means of production are simple, and most of them are made to order. The topic of this final paper is the historical development of craft activities. The paper will present the historical development, define the concepts of crafts and craftsmen and list and define the same types of crafts.
