According to the Family Act, property relations of spouses are regulated by legal or contractual system. The basic principles for the regulation of property relations: equality, family solidarity, party autonomy and protection of the rights of third parties. There are two kinds of property of spouses, marital property and personal property. Matrimonial property is property which the spouses acquired by their work for the duration of marriage or assets from that property.
