Abstract
Izvanbračna zajednica i zajednica istospolnih brakova dvije su teme koje, posebice u Republici Hrvatskoj, unatoč činjenici da se društvo nalazi u 21. stoljeću, i dalje izazivaju kontroverze i oprečna razmišljanja. S obzirom da je brak zajednica između muškarca i žene, koja je uređena zakonom, izvanbračna zajednica također se može nazvati jednom vrstom braka, te postoji Zakon o izvanbračnoj zajednici, koji osobama koje žive u takvom odnosu daje jednaka prava kao i osobama u braku. Slično je i sa istospolnim zajednicama, koje su nakon dugo vremena dobile Zakon o životnom partnerstvu osoba istog spola, kojima su im osigurana jednaka prava kao i osobama u braku, osim prava posvajanja djece.
Abstract (english)
Cohabitation and same-seks marriages are two topics that are very controversy in Republic of Croatia, despite the fact that society lives in 21st century. Considering that the marriage is community between man and woman, which is determined by law, cohabitation can also be called as a sort of marriage, which is determinded by the Cohabitation Law, which provides to persons who lives in that community, same rights that marriage gives. Same-sex unions have similar law, which is called Life Partnership Law, by which same-sex unions have the same rights as the persons in marriage have, except adopting.
