Abstract
U radu je analiziran položaj žena na tržištu rada, s posebnim naglaskom na Republiku Hrvatsku. Prikazan je tijek „borbe“ žena za pravo na rad. Posebna pažnja posvetila se nepovoljnom položaju žena pri traženju posla te ženama koje su „zapele“ u srednjem menadžmentu, ženama zaposlenim u turizmu te ženama u politici. Iako su u dugoročnijem razdoblju postignute mnoge pozitivne promjene u položaju žena na tržištu rada uopće, mnogi pokazatelji govore da je on još uvijek dosta lošiji od istovjetnog položaja muškaraca: stopa ekonomske aktivnosti i zaposlenosti žena je znatno niža, stopa nezaposlenosti je viša, žene u prosjeku duže čekaju na posao, a koncentracija zaposlenih žena u pojedinim, tipično ženskim djelatnostima, još je uvijek vrlo velika.
Abstract (english)
The position of women at the labor market has been analized with specific emphasis on the Republic of Croatia. Course of „woman’s fight“ for the right to work was presented. Specific attentiion was given to unfavorable position of the women when it comes to emplovment as well to the women who got sucked at middle management, those emploved at tourist industry and women in politics. Although many positive changes for women at labor market generally were achieves in long term sense, many indications show that it is still much worse than the equal position of the man: rate of economical activity and emplovment of women is significantly lover. rate of unemplovment is much higher, in average the women are waiting for a job much longer, while competence of the emploved women in certain, typically female jobs, is still very high.
