The central goal of the central bank is maintaining price stability and financial system stability within a country. Central bank of the Republic of Croatia is Croatian National Bank headquartered in Zagreb. The Council of the Croatian National Bank are governor, deputy od the governor, six vice-governors by its positions and most eight external members. Fundamental functions of the Croatian National Bank relate to the conduct of monetary policy what would in practice mean maintaining the stability of the nominal exchange rate of the kuna against the euro. Croatian National Bank also manages international reserves, issues banknotes and coins, carries out supervisory tasks and assesses the possibilities for remedies of credit institutions. In accomplishing their tasks, Croatian National Banks is on its own and independent, and submits the reports on its activities the Croatian Parliament.
