Abstract
Otpad predstavlja sve veći problem u današnjem potrošačkom društvu, nalazi ga se u više oblika, bilo da se gomila, odbacuje u more, podzemne vode ili se pri usitnjavanju širi atmosferom. Kada se otpad odlaže u more ono postaje morski otpad koji predstavlja ozbiljan problem za morsko dno, površinu mora, plaže i životinjski svijet što je često posljedica lošeg upravljanja otpadom. Za potrebe pisanja ovog rada istraženi su javno dostupni literaturni izvori te je temeljem njih obrađen pojam i sastav morskog otpada, prikazani izvori iz kojih potječe i njegov utjecaj na okoliš, životinje i ljude. Zatim su obrađeni načini gospodarenja morskim otpadom kako u svijetu, tako i Republici Hrvatskoj te je poseban osvrt dan na gospodarenje otpadom na jadranskim otocima što podrazumijeva načine i prijedloge za rješavanje navedenog problema.
Abstract (english)
Waste is more and more large problem in present consumer society and it exists in several forms. The waste can be as a bunch or rejected in the sea, groundwaters or, even, when it is mulching, spreading into the atmosphere. When the waste is disposed into the sea, it becomes marine waste, which presents a serious problem for the seafloor, beaches and animal world what is often a result of a poor waste management. For the needs of writing this final paper there are investigated publicly available literature sources. Based on that sources, in this paper are processed term and of composition of marine litter, sources from which it originates and its impact on the environment, animals and people. Then, it is cultivated the ways of waste management in the world and in the Republic of Croatia. The special overview is to the waste management on Adriatic islands what implied ways and suggestions of solving this problem.
