Abstract
Sažetak rada: Predsjednik Republike Hrvatske se definira kao državni poglavar Republike Hrvatske koji obnaša određene dužnosti i ima ovlasti koje su mu ograničeni Ustavom Republike Hrvatske. Predsjednik Republike je ujedno i vrhovni zapovjednik Oružanih snaga Republike Hrvatske i brine se za redovito i usklađeno djelovanje i ostale dužnosti i odgovornosti koje predsjednik obavlja. Stupanjem na dužnost prvog predsjednika Republike Hrvatske dr. Franje Tuđmana koji je obnašao dužnost od 30. svibnja 1990. godine do prosinca 1999. godine, te njegove nasljednike počevši od Stipe Mesića pa do sadašnjeg predsjednika Zorana Milanovića, dogodile su se velike promjene u predsjedničkim ovlastima i u ustavnom položaju. Bez obzira na promjenu polupredsjedničkog sustava u parlamentarni sustav predsjednik je ostao važan faktor ustavnog sustav, koji može donositi važna pitanja i odluke vezane za područje državne djelatnosti.
Abstract (english)
Abstract: The President of the Republic Croatia is defined as the Head of State of the Republic of Croatia who performs certain duties and has powers limited to him by the Constitution of the Republic of Croatia. The President is also the Commander in Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces and cares for the regular and concerted practices and other duties and responsibilities that the president performs. With the entry into office of the first Croatian president dr. Franjo Tudjman, who served as from 30 May 1990 to December 1999, and his successors starting from Stipe Mesic to the current president Zoran Milanovic, there have been major changes in the presidency and in the constitutional position. Regardless of the change of the semi-presidential system to a parliamentary system, the president has remained an important factor in the constitutional system, which can make important issues and decisions related to the field of state activity.
