This paper analyzes parking assistance systems, with a particular focus on technologies that facilitate parking in urban environments. The aim of the paper was to provide a comprehensive overview of the development of these systems, their functionalities, and their impact on driver safety and comfort. Through a review of the historical development of parking, an analysis of modern technologies such as sensors, cameras, and autonomous parking algorithms, and an examination of case studies from various automobile manufacturers, the key advantages and disadvantages of these systems were identified. The results indicate that parking assistance systems significantly reduce driver stress and increase safety in confined spaces. However, certain limitations were also observed, particularly in specific conditions such as adverse weather. The conclusion confirms that these systems are successful in achieving their primary objectives, while also highlighting the need for further research to improve their reliability and effectiveness. Future research should focus on optimizing systems to operate under various conditions and integrating new technologies that could further enhance road safety.
