Abstract
Problem siromaštva i nezaposlenosti je globalni problem koji pogađa Hrvatsku i mnoge druge države širom svijeta. Mladi su najranjivija starosna skupina stanovništva jer ne raspolažu vlastitom imovinom, teško pronalaze posao i mjesto gdje bi živjeli i time riješili osnovna egzistencijalna pitanja. Najbolji načini za smanjenje siromaštva bilo bi ulaganje u obrazovanje ljudi, pogotovo mladih, a samim time otvarala bi se nova radna mjesta što bi dovodilo do gospodarskog rasta. Pojam siromaštva je veoma širok i teško ga je definirati iako se najjednostavnije objašnjava kao nedostatak financijskih sredstava za osnovne životne potrebe kao što su hrana, piće, odjeća i mjesto stanovanja. Većina inustrijaliziranih zemalja i zemalja na putu industrijalizacije danas jesu socijalne države – to znači, zemlje u kojima država ima presudnu važnost u smanjivanju nejednakosti unutar populacije time što subvencionira određena dobra i usluge. Svrha socijalne pomoći jest ublažiti negativne učinke tržišta ljudima koji, iz raznih razloga, teško zadovoljavaju osnovne potrebe. To je način upravljanja rizicima s kojima se suočavaju ljudi tijekom života: bolešću, invalidnošću, gubitkom posla i starošću
Abstract (english)
countries around the world. Young people are the most vulnerable age group of the population because they do not have their own assets, difficulties finding work and a place to live, and thus solve the basic existential questions. The best ways to reduce poverty is to invest in the education of people, especially young people, and thus opened to new jobs that would lead to economic growth. The concept of poverty is very broad and difficult to define although usually defined as a lack of funding for basic needs such as food, drink, clothing and place of residence. Most industrialized countries and countries on the path of industrialization today are the welfare state - that is, the country in which the state plays an essential role in reducing inequalities within the population that it is subsidizing certain goods and services. The purpose of social assistance is to mitigate the negative effects of the market to people who, for various reasons, have difficulties to meet basic needs. This is a way to manage risks faced by people throughout life: illness, disability, loss of employment and age
