This paper analyzes the role and importance of product structure in serial production, as well as their impact on the organization of production facilities, costs and ultimately the competitiveness of enterprises in the global market. The components is actually a product structure that consists of the normative of materials that are in, or required to produce, a semi-finished product or a finished product. The components are divided into several levels depending on the product structure, in this paper the product structure will be analyzed by levels and their impact on the production itself, organization of work operations, controlling of costs by place of origin and as a final goal determining the planned price of the product. The analysis of the product structure through this work will show the impact and the unbreakable connection of the product structure with the sales, production, cost of the raw materials and ultimately on the revenue / expense plans.
