SRCE – University of Zagreb University Computing Centre will join the international Open Access Week that will be held from October 22 to October 28, 2018. Open Access Week is the international initiative aiming to take action in making openness the default for research — to raise the visibility of scholarship, accelerate research, and turn breakthroughs into better lives.
Within the Open Access Week, SRCE will organize one-day event that will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018 in SRCE. The event consists of two workshops for the editors of the repositories in the DABAR system:
- "DABAR and OpenAIRE" workshop
The workshop will be held by Jadranka Stojanovski, PhD (University of Zadar / Ruđer Bošković Institute), Alen Vodopijevec (Ruđer Bošković Institute) and Draženko Celjak (SRCE).
This workshop will focus on OpenAIRE and what features OpenAIRE infrastructure offers to owners of digital repositories. Attendants (editors of the repositories) will go through a validation process and the registration of their institutional repository on the OpenAIRE portal.
- "Multimedia in DABAR" workshop
The workshop will be held by Associate Professor Davor Švaić (University of Zagreb, Academy of Dramatic Art), Tea Jerić Zanini (University of Zagreb, Academy of Dramatic Art) and Marko Cundeković (SRCE).
The workshop will focus on options of uploading multimedia content (pictures, audio, video) in repositories in the DABAR system.
SRCE supports open access for a number of years and with these interesting workshops we want to encourage openness and availability of scientific information via institutional repositories in the DABAR system.
