Abstract
The Russo-Ukrainian war has a drastic effect on the globe's supply chain, as it is obstructing the movement of commodities, driving sharp price increases, and even causing catastrophic food shortages with increasing likelihood of famine in some parts of the world. Disruptions happening in the supply of tech, raw materials, and component parts coming from China and other countries have severely hampered international trade roles, forcing businesses to reevaluate and, in some cases, completely overhaul their long-standing distribution networks and partner ecological systems. The main goals of this thesis are to discuss all factors that contributed to the war by explaining events from the near past as well as historical facts in the last 100 years to better understand the roots of the conflict. Furthermore, to present the economic positions of Ukraine and Russia in the world as one of the biggest exporters of food and commodities and describe the consequences of the war: fuel crisis, food crisis, commodity shortages, price increases, etc. Finally, the thesis also aims to increase awareness of the issue and prepare readers for a world that has been profoundly affected, first by the coronavirus outbreak and then by its aftereffects of the war.

Rusko-ukrajinski rat ima drastičan učinak na svjetski opskrbni lanac, jer ometa kretanje robe, dovodi do naglog rasta cijena, pa čak i uzrokuje katastrofalne nestašice hrane s povećanom vjerojatnošću gladi u nekim dijelovima svijeta. Prekidi koji se događaju u opskrbi tehnologijom, sirovinama i sastavnim dijelovima koji dolaze iz Kine i drugih zemalja ozbiljno su ugrozili međunarodne trgovinske uloge, prisiljavajući poduzeća da preispitaju i, u nekim slučajevima, potpuno revidiraju svoje dugogodišnje distribucijske mreže i partnerske ekološke sustave. Glavni ciljevi ovog završnog rada su raspraviti sve čimbenike koji su doprinijeli ratu objašnjavajući događaje iz bliske prošlosti kao i povijesne činjenice u posljednjih 100 godina kako bi se bolje razumjeli korijeni sukoba. Nadalje, prikazati gospodarsku poziciju Ukrajine i Rusije u svijetu kao jednih od najvećih izvoznika hrane i roba te opisati posljedice rata: kriza goriva, kriza hrane, nestašica roba, rast cijena itd. Na kraju, cilj rads je također povećati svijest o problemu i pripremiti čitatelje za svijet koji je bio duboko pogođen, najprije izbijanjem koronavirusa, a potom i posljedicama ovog rata.
