Abstract
Igra je temeljna aktivnost koja značajno oblikuje razvoj svakog djeteta, pružajući priliku za istraživanje, razvoj kognitivnih, socijalnih i emocionalnih vještina te prilagodbu okolini. Igra je intrinzično motivirana i spontana aktivnost, oslobođena vanjskih sankcija, te je vrijedan alat u podučavanju. Različiti teoretičari ističu njen značaj, a klasifikacije igara pokrivaju aspekte kognitivnog i socijalnog razvoja. Osim što donosi zadovoljstvo, igra potiče vještine poput rješavanja problema, suradnje, izražavanja emocija i motoričkih sposobnosti. Igra autistične djece razlikuje se od igre njihovih neurotipičnih vršnjaka. Kod njih, između ostalog, igra često može sadržavati repetitivnost i specifične interese. Ovaj diplomski rad istražuje ulogu igre u razvoju autistične djece te analizira kako različite intervencijske strategije koriste igru kao sredstvo za poticanje socijalnih, komunikacijskih i kognitivnih vještina.
Abstract (english)
Play is a fundamental activity that significantly shapes the development of every child, providing opportunities for exploration, cognitive, social, and emotional skill development, and adaptation to their environment. It is an intrinsically motivated and spontaneous activity, free from external sanctions, and a valuable teaching tool. Various theorists highlight its importance, and play classifications cover aspects of cognitive and social development. Beyond bringing enjoyment, play fosters skills such as problem-solving, cooperation, emotional expression, and motor skills. Play of autistic children differs from that of their neurotypical peers. Among other characteristics, their play often involves repetitive behavior and specific interests. This thesis explores the role of play in the development of autistic children and analyzes how various intervention strategies use play as a means of fostering social, communication, and cognitive skills.
