Abstract
U radu je opisana metoda za modeliranje i određivanje performansi procesa održavanja telekomunikacijske programske podrške. Metoda uključuje aktivnosti koje se odnose na prikupljanje znanja o procesu, prikupljanje podataka iz procesa, njihovu analizu, modeliranje procesa u formi mreže repova, te izvođenje simulacije nad modelom, kako bi se odredile performanse procesa u smislu parametara mreže repova. Nakon određivanja performansi i uvoðenja strukturalnih promjena, formira se novi dizajn... More procesa nad kojim se iterativno primjenjuje ista metoda. Rezultati primjene metode mogu poslužiti kao podrška donošenju odluka na koji način efikasnije raspodijeliti ili modificirati postojeće resurse procesa održavanja. Metoda se može primijeniti na proces održavanja bilo kojeg telekomunikacijskog softvera, kao i na ostale softverske procese koji se žele opisati i analizirati s ciljem poboljšanja. Posebna pažnja u okviru metode je usmjerena na tehnike za prikupljanje i analizu kvalitativnih podataka, tehnike za validaciju i verifikaciju konceptualnog modela i njegovog raèunalnog prikaza, statističku analiza prikupljenih kvantitativnih podataka, te statističke tehnike za validaciju rezultata simulacije i usporedbu alternativnih dizajna procesa. Verifikacija metode je izvršena na studijskom slučaju procesa održavanja unutar telekomunikacijske kompanije. Verifikacijom je dokazano da metoda ima praktičnu vrijednost i da je primjenjiva u kontekstu softverske organizacije koja želi poboljšati svoj proces održavanja, jer omoguæava efikasnu usporedbu alternativnih dizajna bez rizika eksperimentiranja nad realnim procesom. Predložena metoda predstavlja specifičnu tehniku koja se može koristiti unutar odabranog generičkog modela kao dio organizacijskih napora da se dosegne viša razina zrelosti i efikasnosti procesa. Abstract (english)
The work presents modeling and evaluation method for telecommunication software maintenance process. The method comprises the activities on broadening knowledge of the process, data collection and analysis, process modeling in the form of the queuing networks, and process simulation aimed at evaluating process performance. After performance analysis and introduction of structural changes, a new process is designed, over which the same method is iteratively applied. The results of the... More method might help in deciding how to relocate or change software maintenance resources in a more efficient manner. The method can be implemented in any telecommunication software maintenance process and other processes to be formally presented and analyzed for improvement purposes. The issues of special concern within the proposed method are: techniques for the collection and analysis of qualitative data, validation and verification techniques for the conceptual model and its software presentation, statistic analysis of the quantitative data, statistic validation techniques for simulation results and comparison of the alternative process design. The method has been verified in a case study of the software maintenance process in the telecommunications company. It demonstrated its practicability and feasibility in the context of software organization, aiming to improve its software maintenance process. The method allows efficient comparison of the alternative process design without risk-associated experimenting with real process. Moreover, it can be applied as a special technique within the given generic model, as a part of the organizational effort to achieve higher process maturity and efficiency. Less
