This paper presents theoretical concepts of creative approaches to literature interpretation, lesson structure according to various authors, the role of the school library, the objectives, and the pedagogical potential of literature. Additionally, it analyses diverse methods in processing the literary work "The Marvelous Adventures of Hlapić the Apprentice" with the aim of fostering the development of reading culture and a positive attitude towards literary works among students. Through an integrated approach to education, emphasis is placed on recognizing individual students' needs to build a foundation for a lasting love of reading and to encourage successful language development. Motivation for reading is a crucial component in creating a stimulating learning environment, with the support of school libraries playing a vital role in developing reading skills. Through adaptability in the selection of reading materials and a creative approach to teaching, the development of critical thinking, empathy, and language skills in students is encouraged. The pedagogical potential of literature not only contributes to holistic education and upbringing but also encourages students to engage in deeper reflection, interpretation, and analysis of literary works. Creativity in teaching, given the importance placed on its encouragement, acts as a catalyst for motivating students to learn and develop their cognitive and emotional abilities. Therefore, this paper not only provides insight into various approaches to literature interpretation but also highlights the importance of creating a stimulating environment that encourages students to actively participate, be creative, and develop a lasting love for reading and literature.
