Abstract
Arhiviranje privatnog gradiva relativno je novo istraživačko područje koje za arhivistiku kao znanost ali i same stvaratelje privatnog gradiva nudi potencijalnu korist. S obzirom na proliferaciju digitalne tehnologije i sve širu dostupnost interneta, korisnici u se većim količinama stvaraju i akumuliraju digitalno gradivo. Zbog toga se javlja pitanja očuvanja takvog gradiva u duljem vremenskom periodu, a posebice onda kada se sami korisnici odlučuju na izradu osobne ili obiteljske zbirke, želeći zabilježiti određene trenutke vlastita života i ostaviti ih u nasljeđe budućim generacijama. Arhivistika upravu o tom kontekstu može ponuditi korisnicima intelektualne i tehničke resurse da bi tu zadaću uspješno sproveli u djelo. Ovaj rad se, stoga, posvetio sustavnom iznošenju problematike arhiviranja privatnog (digitalnog) gradiva, fokusiravši se na izazove i potencijalne benefite koje ovo područje donosi za hrvatsku arhivistiku, za koju je detektirano da ova problematika još uvijek nije prepoznata kao relevantno područje djelovanja, kao što je to prepoznato u inozemstvu. Metodološki rad je utemeljen na analizi literature i projekata koji tematiziraju privatno arhivsko gradivo (posebice digitalno), promatrajući ovu problematiku uz teorijske perspektive postmoderne arhivistike. U radu se u konačnici predlažu rješenja koja bi se mogla implementirati u hrvatskoj praksi rada s privatnim gradivom.
Abstract (english)
Archiving private collections is a relatively new research area that offers potential benefits for archival science, as well as for the creators of private collections. With the proliferation of digital technology and the increasing availability of the Internet, users are creating and accumulating digital material in larger quantities. Therefore, the question about preserving such material over a long period of time arose, especially when users decide to create a personal or family collection, wanting to record certain moments of their own lives and leave them as a legacy to future generations. The Archival science in this context can offer users intellectual and technical resources to successfully carry out this task. This thesis, therefore, is dedicated to the systematic presentation of the issue of archiving private (digital) material, focusing on the challenges and potential benefits that this area brings to Croatian archival science, where this issue is not yet recognized as a relevant area, as it is abroad. This thesis is based on the analysis of literature and projects that thematize private archival collections (especially digital), approaching this issue with the theoretical perspectives of postmodern archival science. Finally, the thesis proposes solutions that could be implemented in the Croatian practice of working with private collections.
