Abstract
Antioksidansi su tvari sposobne za inhibiciju oksidacije drugih molekula. Reakcije oksidacije mogu stvoriti slobodne radikale što vodi lančanim reakcijama koje oštećuju stanice. Antioksidansi mogu prekinuti ove lančane reakcije uklanjanjem intermedijera slobodnih radikala i inhibirati druge oksidacijske reakcije. U kozmetici nalaze čestu primjenu zbog svojih pozitivnih učinaka na zdravlje i kožu. Cilj ovog rada bio je utvrditi antioksidacijsku aktivnost različitih antioksidansa koji nalaze primjenu u formulacijama kozmetičkih proizvoda. Ispitivanja antioksidacijske aktivnosti provedena su primjenom kemijske metode DPPH (metoda slobodnih radikala). Oksidacijska stabilnost uzoraka određena je mjerenjem oksidacijske indukcijske temperature (OIT*) na DSC uređaju. Ispitivanja oksidacijske aktivnosti Vitamina C u obliku magnezijeva askorbil fosfata (MAP), Ružmarina CO2 estrakta topljivog u ulju i Astaksantina, za koje su utvrđene najviše IC50 vrijednosti, istražena je i nakon ubrzanog UV starenja. Primjenom FTIR analize utvrđene su strukturne karakteristike istraživanih uzoraka.
Abstract (english)
Antioxidants are substances capable of inhibiting the oxidation of other molecules. Oxidation reactions can form free radicals and these start chain reactions that damage cells. Antioxidants can terminate these chain reactions by removing free radical intermediates and inhibit other oxidation reactions. Due to their beneficial effects on health and skin, they are widely used in cosmetics. The aim of this paper was to determine the antioxidant activity of various antioxidants used in the formulation of cosmetic products. Antioxidant activity was measured by the DPPH (free radical method) chemical method. The oxidative stability of the sample was determined by measuring the oxidation induction temperature (OIT*) using a DSC instrument. The oxidation activity of Vitamin C in the form of magnesium ascorbyl phosphate (MAP), Rosemary CO2 extract soluble in oil, and Astaxanthin, for which the highest IC50 values were determined, was also studied after accelerated UV aging. FTIR analysis was used to determine the structural characteristics of the samples studied.
