Big data and analytics are shaping the future of higher education. Their role is significant in creating guidelines for reform activities and in assisting educators, students, and administrators in improving teaching and learning. This paper tackles one aspect of this phenomenon. The aim of this study is to examine whether and to what extent students˙ activity at the Learning Management System (LMS) can be a predictor of academic success.
