Abstract
Ekoturizam se odlikuje naglaskom na očuvanje okoliša, obrazovanje, odgovornost turista i aktivno sudjelovanje u zajednici. Karakteristike ekoturizma su: ponašanje posjetitelja savjesnim i niskim utjecajem, poštovanje lokalnih kultura i biološke raznolikosti, održiva korist lokalnim zajednicama i slićno. Povećani turizam na osjetljiva prirodna područja, bez odgovarajućeg planiranja, može ugroziti integritet ekosustava i lokalnih kultura. Međutim, ekoturizam se ne nalazi samo u prirodi, već i u hotelijerskoj industriji. Uz njega se veže kvaliteta usluga. Gosti koji dolaze u hotele kao ekoturisti imaju specifične zahtjeve za koje očekuju da hotel ispuni. Neki od njih su: oprema od prirodnih materijala, učinkovito korištenje energije i vode, savjesno ponašanje zaposlenika i prenošenje znanja o očuvanju okoliša na goste, te bio-hrana. Rezultati ovog istraživanja eko-dimenzija pokazali su kako gosti očekuju obrazovano osoblje koje će svakome dati savjet o očuvanju okoliša, mirno okruženje i lokaciju hotela, hranu koja je organski uzgojena i štednju resursa koji polako nestaju sa zemlje.
Abstract (english)
Ecotourism is distinguished by the emphasis on preserving the environment, education, the responsibility of tourists and active participation in the community. The characteristics of ecotourism are: conscientious and low impact visitor behavior, respect for local cultures and biodiversity, sustainable benefit to local communities and the like. Increased tourism in sensitive natural areas, without proper planning, can endanger the integrity of ecosystems and local cultures. However, ecotourism is not only in the nature, but also in the hotel industry. Along with it, quality of service is linked. Guests arriving at hotels as ecotourists have specific requirements that they expect the hotel to fulfill. Some of them are: equipment of natural materials, efficient use of energy and water, conscientious behavior of employees and transfer of knowledge about environmental protection to guests, and bio-food. The results of this eco-dimension survey have shown that guests expect educated staff to give advice to everyone on environmental protection, the peaceful environment and location of the hotel, organically grown food, and resource savings that slowly disappear from the country
